I have used Hoya filters for years and trust their quality. I consider this UV filter to be middle of the road price range but IMO it performs as well or better than some of the more expensive competition. The thread pitch is precise and it screws on easily to my Nikon lenses. Easy to clean and I don't get the glare that some cheaper filters create.
It is difficult to spend money on a filter that basically only protects the lens but image quality can suffer with subpar filters.

I'm not qualified yet to compare and contrast this to other filters. So I'll just say it arrived promptly and fits securely. I haven't taken enough photos with it yet to post a real opinion so I'll try and update in the future.

Utilizar el filtro UV tiene como objetivo proteger el lente, impidiendo que se exponga al ambiente y a la vez evitar que la luz no deseada altere la imagen. Debería ser de rigor adquirir el lente junto al filtro y una vez puesto no retirarlo jamás, protege tu inversión y es un muy buen antecedente si luego quieres venderlo.
Adquirí este filtro por recomendaciones de otros usuarios quienes habían señalado que su calidad era excepcional tanto en construcción como en calidad de imagen. Al llegar vi como había sido cuidadosamente empacado en un envase fuerte con dos láminas de polímero para proteger su integridad. El filtro se siente definitivamente más pesado que otros (lo comparé con otro del mismo diámetro de una marca comparable) y da la impresión de ser más denso. Su aro de rosca calza perfectamente en el lente de 67 mm. con buen ajuste y denotando una transparencia fantástica.
Compra muy confiable y recomendable.

Hoya DMC PRO1 Digital Filters are specifically designed and engineered for Digital SLR Cameras. Digital Multi Coated (DMC) construction greatly reduces lens flare and ghosting. The Black Almite Frame (BAF) is a black matte finish aluminum frame that reduces reflections to enhance contrast. In addition, the Black Rimmed Glass (BRG) reduces light reflection around the filter edge. Low Profile Frame (LPF) is an Ultra thin frame which helps avoid vignetting on wide-angle lenses.
